About Us
NJAEYC
The New Jersey Association for the Education of Young Children (NJAEYC) is an affiliate group of NAEYC, the nation’s largest membership organization of early childhood professionals. Our professional organization, with over 2,000 members statewide, represents teachers, directors, researchers, professors, volunteers, and others concerned with the well-being of children ages birth through eight. Primary attention is devoted to assuring the provision of high quality early childhood programs through the following goals:
- Facilitating improvements in the professional practice and working conditions in the field of early childhood education by creating professional development opportunities/resources and by setting and promoting standards of professional practice.
- Improving public understanding and support and funding of high quality programs in centers, homes, and schools serving young children and their families through public policy initiatives and public awareness and engagement activities.
